The spring break holidays are fast approaching and to celebrate, we invite you to our very first women's off-piste skiing event which is aimed at motivated girls who want to perfect their knowledge and improve their technique. . RacLess consists of maximizing field trips on skis and snowboards. All supervised by two experienced guides who will make you discover our magnificent snowy corner of the country with the approach by snowmobile. All enhanced by accommodation in one of our rustic refuges and above all by sharing the good things in life. Laughter and fun guaranteed.

The place 

Rivière-à-Claude is a  small village in Haute-Gaspésie that is home to the RAC Outdoor/Off-Piste Skiing Cooperative.www.raccity.org 

The package includes(350 txs in)

  1. Shuttle service to and from the rustic cabins by snowmobile.
  2. Yurt accommodation for 3 nights.
  3. Guide service for 3 days.
  4. Introduction to avalanche safety equipment. (DVA, shovel, and probe.)
  5. Binding adjustment activity and exploration of the various existing off-piste equipment. 
  6. And several surprises from our partners.

The package does not include:

  1.   Meals. It will be possible to have group meals between yurts to facilitate logistics and encourage sharing.
  2. Avalanche safety equipment (DVA, probe shovel), off-piste skiing or splitboard equipment. (Possibility of rental with Caroune skishop located in Saint-Anne-des-monts.)
  3. Sleeping bag.

Required Experiences :

The initiation to off-piste skiing is aimed at skiers with a good level in alpine skiing, seeking to be introduced to alpine hiking. Participants must be at least

  1. Advanced skiers or snowboarders in a ski resort and in the undergrowth, being able to hike about 10 km and being able to be pulled by snowmobile over several kilometres. 
  2. In order to ensure a pleasant stay, participants must therefore be in good physical shape and be able to exceed their limits.
  3. The territory is variable! We have beginner to expert terrain. So, once the guides have evaluated the different participants, groups of different levels will be formed. 
  4. Participants must have equipment equipped with climbing skins (divisible ski or board). At no time will type adapters (Alpine Trecker) and snowshoes with skis/boards on the back be accepted.
  5. Be equipped to sleep in winter camping.(Sleeping bag – 15 degrees.)

We require a 10% deposit upon registration and full payment 15 days prior to the event. We will then send you an invoice by email.   The cancellation policy is as follows: We refund all installments if we decide ourselves to cancel the event for critical weather reasons or other conditions beyond our control which would put security at stake. In the event of cancellation on your part, no refund after February 15, 2020, unless you find a replacement or the place is filled by another.
