The idea of the community sector is first of all to offer a quality ski sector as a voluntary contribution. This approach is part of the goal of making off-piste skiing accessible in Haute-Gaspésie.​

The sector was first developed on a voluntary basis by the coop. In the fall of 2020, RAC received financial assistance from the CLD de la Haute-Gaspésie to further develop this sector. Thanks to the chic-choc access coop and the RAC workers, 5 glades are now offered on a self-guided basis.

Evacuation and first aid equipment can be found in the area for everyone's safety.
